Sector of Sound Technology, Music Education and Byzantine Musicology

The Sector of Sound Technology, Music Education and Byzantine Musicology includes three separate scientific areas: 

- Sound technology: This includes the relationship between music and technology, informatics and mathematics, musical acoustics, electroacoustic music and recording. 

- Music education: The pedagogy and didactic aspect of music education are examined in the wider context of social sciences and humanities.  
  
- Byzantine Musicology: the byzantine music as art and science is examined, from theory and practice, history and aesthetics, in the context of the wider civilisation of christian orthodoxy.
