Department of Music Studies

Piano soloist and PhD musicologist. Born in Karditsa, Greece in 1979. As piano soloist: several international performances all over the world, discography including contemporary music and world’s first recordings as well as former piano lecturer in the Department of Music Science and Art at the University of Macedonia. As musicologist: PhD degree (dissertation on Life and work of Greek composer, pianist and pedagogue Loris Margaritis) from the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he currently teaches Music Interpretation and Analysis and Piano Performance, several publications in conferences, meetings and magazines concern the fields of analytical and historical musicology and musical interpretation, entry in the encyclopedia Grove Music Online and full member of the Hellenic Musicological Society.
