He was born in Athens and at the age of 11 years old he started studying bassoon with his father as a teacher. In the summer of 1992 he obtained his degree with an Excellent grade and he continued his studies, with a scholarship from Germany (D.A.A.D.) and from Alexandros Onassis Foundation, in the Hochschule fűr Musik in Munich in Professor’ s Eberhard Marschall class . In June 0f 1999 he graduated with the Meisterklassen Diplom. He has taken part in many competitions around the world winning prizes or getting to final rounds (Concert Artist Guild, Pacem in Terris, HELEXPO, Yamaha Music Foundation).
At the age of 13, he makes his first appearance as a soloist with the Athens State Orchestra . He has appeared as a soloist with all the leading Greek Symphony Orchestras and also with orchestras in Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy, France , Hungary, England, Thailand, Mexico among other and also in some of the major concert halls around Europe such as Théâtre des Champs-Élysées , Palau de la Música Catalana among others. He is playing the baroque bassoon for the last 20 years .Since then he played in many concerts in major halls around Europe and took part in several recordings with Deutsche Gramophone, MDG, Decca. Since 1995 he has been principal bassoon of Athens State Orchestra and a member of Armonia Atenea for the last 15 years.
