
Nefeli Fasouli is a prominent Greek vocalist, composer, and educator. She holds a degree from the Athens School of Law and a Master’s degree in “Jazz Improvisation and New Technologies” from the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). In 2018, she completed her studies in Contemporary Singing under Panos Dimas at the National Conservatory of Greece, where she further specialized in Vocal Pedagogy and Instruction.
Her jazz vocal training was shaped by acclaimed mentors Sylvios Syrros and Sofia Noiti. A two-time Fulbright Scholar, she moved to New York for the 2022-2023 academic year to study at the New York Jazz Academy (NYJA) under Tammy Scheffer and Peck Allmond. Nefeli has performed extensively throughout Greece and internationally, including appearances in the USA, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Turkey, Belgium, and Cyprus. For several years, she was a key collaborator of the renowned Greek songwriter Foivos Delivorias and has contributed to over 100 titles in the Greek discography.
In 2023, she performed at the Athens Jazz Festival (Jazz+ category) with the Nefeli Fasouli Quintet, an ensemble that explores the intersections of Greek folk music and jazz, featuring Leandros Patsias, James Wylie, Dinos Manos, and George Klountzos.
Her personal discography includes two acclaimed Greek-language albums, "Kosmos Sou" and "Kipos". In December 2023, she released her first international jazz album, "Phases", composed and recorded in New York City alongside Marius Van den Brink, Russell Hall, Aidan McKeon, and Jason Wastor. Currently, Nefeli teaches Jazz Vocals at the Panos Dimas Academy and served as the Head of the Jazz Vocal Department at the Athenaeum Conservatory for the 2023-2024 academic year.
