
Nafsika Chatzichristou holds a PhD from the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in cultural management and audience development for classical music and opera. She is also a graduate of The Juilliard School, where she earned a Master of Music degree with a specialization in classical guitar, and of the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens. Since 2017, she has served as a cultural management advisor to the administration of the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron). In this capacity, she has conducted studies on increasing revenue from artistic and commercial activities, pricing policies, organizational procedures, and analyses of cultural products and audience, among other areas. In parallel, she has substantial experience in conducting audience research for cultural organizations (Athens Concert Hall, Greek National Opera). She has also served for several years as an adjunct lecturer (under Presidential Decree 407/80) in the Department of Music Science and Art at the University of Macedonia, and has taught at the Department of Folk and Traditional Music of the former Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Epirus. For her achievements, Nafsika Chatzichristou has been awarded numerous scholarships including from the Fulbright Foundation and The Juilliard School (G. & M. Vergotis Scholarship), among others. She actively participates in conferences and publishes scholarly articles on topics related to the development of cultural organizations and classical music and opera audience.
