Alexandros Drakos Ktistakisholds a postgraduate degree from the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University. He has a long career in musical performance in Greece and abroad. He composes music for the performing arts while also having a personal discography as a composer and performer. He was recently awarded for the musical composition of the theatre play "Players", receiving the 1st prize for composition at the 2022 Audience Theatre Awards of the magazine "Athinorama" and the 2nd prize for the musical composition of the play "The Rise of Arturo Uy" for 2023.
He has presented the TV series of musical shows entitled "Musical Dialogues" (Parliament Channel) as well as the series of shows - concerts Lighthouse Sessions of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center. As an educator, he has been a lecturer at the Ionian University and a music teacher at the Modern Music School International in Germany (Idar Oberstein, Frankfurt), and at the Lab Music Education in Athens and Heraklion.
As a performer, arranger - composer he has appeared in venues such as: Carnegie Hall (NYC), Sydney Opera (Sydney), Herodion, Ancient Theater of Epidaurus, Athens Concert Hall, Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Pallas Theater, Piccolo Teatro, (Milano), Palau de la Musica de Catalana (Barcelona), Poison Rouge (NYC), Stuttgart State Theater, Community Hall (Aranya Theatre Festival, Quinhuangtao China), Barbican Theatre (London), Prinzregenten Teather (Munich) Hong Kong Theatre Festival and in numerous well-known music venues of the global jazz scene.
